Summer Climbing Clinics – New for 2023: Adventure Camp!


We offer rock climbing clinics for ages 10 to adult every summer! Each clinic runs five days, and covers the following topics:

  • Basic climbing techniques • Climbing safety • Belay device lessons • Knot tying • Rappelling • Required gear and its usage • Anchor building •  Climbing/caving games • A one or two day outdoor climbing session.

Youth Clinic (age 10-15): Run Monday-Thursday 9AM-1PM with an all-day outdoor excursion on Friday for Level 1 and all-day outdoor excursions on Thursday and Friday for Level 2.

Adult Clinic (age 16 and up): Run Monday and Wednesday evenings (2 weeks, 4 sessions total) 6pm-9pm with an outing(s) on Saturday/Sunday (determined by group)

NEW! ADVENTURE CAMP (age 10-15): Includes a game day, team building /obstacle course challenges, an outdoor climbing day and a bonfire campout at The Bioreserve!: a non-for-profit 100+ acre forest preserve owned by the gym’s owner (visit for more info).

  • Adventure Camp Schedule: Monday & Tuesday 9am-1pm at the gym: games, team building, climbing & caving. Wednesday 9am-5pm: Climbing outing to Little Falls (drop off & pick up at the gym). Thursday 9am-1pm at the gym: ascending, rappelling and more games. Friday 2pm-Saturday 8am at The Bioreserve: games, obstacle course, tree climbing & rappelling, bonfire, pizza & a campout with smores.
      • Parents welcome (and encouraged!) to join us for the Wednesday outing day and the Friday night campout!


Summer 2023 dates:

Youth Level 1 (for beginners): June 26th-30th, July 10th-14th, July 24th-28th, August 14th-18th.

Youth Level 2 (For experienced climbers/climbers who have already taken Level 1): July 31st-August 4th or August 21st-25th.

Adult Level 1 (for beginners): Mondays and Wednesdays (4 sessions total, spread out over 2 weeks) 6pm-9pm: (June 26th, 28th, July 10th & 12th)

Adventure Camp: August 28th-September 1st

Level 1 (for beginners)

4 day indoor class + 1 day climbing excursion to Little Falls, NY (transportation provided with add-on fee) – *$285

Level 2 (For experienced climbers/climbers who have already taken Level 1)

3 day indoor class + 2 day climbing excursions at Little Falls, NY (transportation provided with add-on fee) – *$360

Adventure Camp – *$360 (transportation to Wednesday outing provided with add-on fee)

*ADD-ON FEE: Please note that due to increase price of rental cars, there is a separate add on fee of $30/participant (per outing) for anyone that needs to be transported by us to the climbing site. Families are encouraged to join us for our outing day and are therefore welcomed to provide their own transportation.  We appreciate your understanding as we do our best to still be able to offer this great and rewarding experience!

Outings are weather-permitting. In the event we are unable to go out that week due to weather, we would host a game/prize day at the gym from 9am-1pm on the day we were supposed to go out. We could discuss the potential for outing makeups *as able* during another clinic week offering or as part of our Outdoor Excursion offerings held on Sundays. Add-on fees would be transferrable or refunded accordingly in the event of an outing cancellation if a makeup cannot be arranged.

A $75.00 non-refundable deposit is required to hold a clinic spot. Remaining balance must be paid in full 1 week prior to starting. No refunds or make-up’s for days missed. Cancellations must be made 2 weeks prior to start of clinic for a full refund, otherwise it becomes credit to future gym classes/visits.


Participants may *arrange* to arrive earlier and/or stay later to practice learned skills at no extra charge.

Don’t forget that everyone under 18 needs to have a risk form filled out and signed by their parents.

We must have at least 4 participants to run the clinic (Max is 12 participants). We will do our best to accommodate everyone.
